Polyvine Wax Finish Coloured Satin Varnish

A unique and traditional wax-like, brush-on, protective varnish, for a high-performance satin or non-reflective finish.

Protect your furniture and other interior wooden surfaces with Polyvine’s Wax Finish Varnish, combining the silky feel of wax with the durability of a varnish. Reminiscent of the traditional feel of lovingly preserved furniture, it retains the natural appearance of the wood.

Our coloured satin Wax Finish transforms wood with subtle, even shades. Our coloured satin can be given a completely non reflective finish with just one coat of clear dead flat varnish.

Preparation

All surfaces must be clean and free from dust, dirt, oil and contamination.

Application

• Ensure the product is well mixed but do not shake.
• Apply sparingly, brush out well using a good quality brush, following the direction of the grain. Apply the first coat and allow to dry.
• For clear varnish – apply a second coat.
• Coloured varnish – for a deeper shade, apply a second coat. If the shade required is correct after the first coat, apply a coat of clear.

Caution

• Always apply to a test area before starting work.
• Appearance may vary according to the colour and type of wood and the number of coats.
• Protect the finish from water and steam for five days after application.
